The Brewhalla Beer & Music Festival held in Port Moody was an extraordinary event that brought together a diverse range of local and national musicians and artists. As a passionate photographer, I had the opportunity to attend and capture the magic that unfolded throughout the festival. What made this experience even more special was the story behind my attendance, which began with a chance encounter and a photograph that led me to this captivating event.
It all started during one of my very first photowalks in Vancouver, where I stumbled upon the talented Sam Chimes. Captivated by his soulful performance, I captured a photograph that would later become a part of a Brewhalla ad on social media. This unexpected connection fueled my curiosity, and I couldn't resist the urge to witness Sam's music firsthand at the festival. A huge thanks to Sam Chimes for inadvertently leading me to this remarkable event!
The festival was teeming with talent, and each performance left an indelible mark on my soul. Brother Luck's acoustic guitar skills transported me to a world of relaxation, while Jobé's melodic tunes continued to enchant me. Frase & Fawna commanded the stage with their star power and left the audience spellbound, urging everyone to check out their infectious hit, "Fanny Pack." The energy of Raincity and the soul-stirring melodies of Yvonne Kushe were equally memorable, leaving me craving for more.
As I immersed myself in the festival atmosphere, the vibes were undeniably chilled out and welcoming. While capturing mesmerizing moments of the performances, I couldn't help but reflect on the incredible talent these artists possessed. The exceptional guitar skills of Phil Bo and the captivating set by Syd Warwick added layers of depth and diversity to the overall musical experience. It was a humbling reminder of the dedication and passion that goes into creating music.
To bring the festivities to a grand conclusion, the Brewhalla House Band took the stage, captivating the crowd one last time. Their outstanding performance served as a testament to the talent and unity that prevailed throughout the event. Wandering through the festival grounds, capturing candid moments, and savoring the delightful combination of cold beers, scintillating music, and warm camaraderie made for an unforgettable day.
