Summerlight Music Festival - Vancouver, B.C.

Summerlight Music Festival, hosted by Light Organ Records in Vancouver, BC, was an exhilarating celebration of local musicians and their incredible talent. As an avid festival-goer and aspiring photographer, I had the pleasure of immersing myself in the vibrant atmosphere of this unique event. From the awe-inspiring performances to the unexpected discoveries, the festival proved to be a treasure trove of musical delights.

Desiree Dawson, an amazing singer, left me in awe with her powerful and soulful performance. Despite feeling somewhat intimidated, I couldn't resist approaching the stage to capture the magic unfolding before me. The lead singer of 'dwi' became a force of nature, fully embodying the essence of their performance and delivering a truly metal experience.

One of the highlights of the festival was the discovery of Alex Little & The Suspicious Minds, a local band that captured hearts with their captivating sound. Their infectious energy and undeniable talent left a lasting impression on all who experienced their performance. Johnny Payne's music evoked images of relaxing on a sunny beach, sipping on a Corona, creating the perfect soundtrack for a carefree summer day.

IAMTHELIVING electrified the crowd with their energetic performance, coaxing everyone out of the shade and into the heat of the sun. Their dynamic stage presence and engaging music made for an unforgettable experience. Jenny Banai showcased her exceptional musical prowess, leaving the audience captivated by her soulful and mesmerizing performance.

The festival took an exhilarating turn when grunge-inspired band The Jins hit the stage, evoking memories of iconic acts like Nirvana. Their raw and intense performance left me exhilarated, even though I forgot my earplugs and my ears paid the price. Sleepy Gonzales, with their chilled-out and positive vibes, delivered a performance that was pure perfection. Their talent and stage presence were simply unmatched.

Fake Shark, formerly known as Fake Shark, Real Zombie, delivered a killer performance that reminded me of the good old days when I first saw them open for Mindless Self Indulgence. The transformation and growth of the band were evident, and their energy filled the venue, leaving the crowd craving more.

To my surprise, the members of 'dwi' were also part of The Zolas, and their rockstar vibes were on full display. The entire band rocked the stage, delivering a phenomenal performance that made for some unforgettable photographs. The festival provided a platform for these incredible artists to showcase their talent and captivate the audience.
